Why this exists
The question
I did not arrive here through a crisis. I arrived through curiosity that never stopped. In my early twenties I wanted to understand the brain: how it works, how a life can be run better. I had also always been a religious person. Those two lines led to the same place: meditation, then stillness, then the practices that grow out of it.
Two systems
I studied medicine. I was good at it, and the further I went, the clearer it became what it was training me to do: treat symptoms, not people. So I left.
Outside the university I found the opposite. Yoga, Buddhism, Hinduism, a whole market of modern spirituality. Much of it is sincere. Much of it also asks you to believe something first, and then sells you the next belief.
The principles
Hermeticism was different. It does not ask for faith. It describes patterns, like correspondence, rhythm and cause and effect, that you can observe in your own life and feel in yourself. Laws, not beliefs.
Practice and study never came one after the other for me. They ran side by side, and each kept the other honest.
The work
The Modern Hermetic translates those principles into something a modern, busy life can use. No robes, no guru, no required worldview. A structure you test yourself.
Why there is no face
Because the principles should not depend on a person. If they only work while you follow someone, they are not principles. The characters you may meet on social media are AI voices, written from this work and labelled as such. The insight behind them is human.
