The rules for the course
Short on purpose. These terms cover your access to the course on this site. The purchase itself is made with Paddle, under their terms.
Who we are
The course “The Hermetic Principles” is written and delivered by Valerian Happe, Sander Str. 28, 33129 Delbrück, Germany (“we”). Details on the legal notice.
The purchase
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle. Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) is the merchant of record for all our orders: they sell the course to you, take the payment, issue the receipt and handle returns. Their buyer terms apply to the purchase. Prices are shown in the checkout, in your currency, with the tax that applies where you live.
What you get
Personal access to the course in the members area of this site: nine video lessons, their practices, printable worksheets, and the course mails that go with the practices. The lessons open one after another, each after the practice of the one before — that rhythm is part of the course, not a restriction of it.
Access has no time limit. The course stays online for as long as we run it, and in any case for at least twenty-four months from the day you bought it.
Were we ever to close the site, we write to you at least three months before, so there is time to download the worksheets and anything else you want to keep. If that happened inside the first twenty-four months, you get back the share of the price that covers the time still left of them.
Your access
You sign in with a link sent to the address you bought with. The access is for you alone: please do not share the sign-in, the videos or the worksheets. Printing the worksheets for your own use is what they are for.
The texts, recordings and designs are ours and protected by copyright. If an account is clearly being shared or the material redistributed, we may suspend it after telling you why.
Refunds
Fourteen days, no reasons needed. How it works is on the refund policy.
Not advice
The course is teaching material about a philosophical tradition. It is not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice and does not replace it. What you do with it is your own decision.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are liable only for the breach of an essential contractual duty, limited to the damage that was foreseeable and typical for a contract of this kind.
Changes and law
If these terms change, members hear about it by email before the new version applies. German law applies; for consumers this does not take away the protection of the law of the country they live in.
